As many of us move to self-isolate in our homes, we keenly feel the longing to connect with each other and with our wider communities of faith.

To that end, we have collected a few resources to supplement your own personal practices of prayer!

Weekly Reflection from St. Matthias Staff

Victoria (our Music Director) and I have prepared a weekly audio reflection on the Sunday readings. This will include a piano meditation, poem, prayers and a piece of the Sunday reading. You can find it here:  https://www.stmatthiasvictoria.ca/blog

Begin your day in community with the ancient flow of monastic prayer on Zoom.

All are welcome to join. We have a different leader each morning.

The Zoom link will be the same each morning:

Liturgies and Psalter can be accessed here: https://www.abbeychurch.ca/blog/liturgies. We will also be posting prayer resources here for such a time as this.

If you'd like a hard copy of the Psalter, we can arrange pick-up from the front porch.

If you have prayer requests, they can be emailed to admin@emmauscommunity.ca or offer them on the chat or live.

Sunday Worship

Many communities will be live-streaming a form of Sunday Service.

While we cannot receive the physical elements of the Eucharist at this time, we know that God is present to us, feeding us and guiding us through our wilderness time.

I love the prayer from the Book of Common Prayer that reads: The Body of our Lord Jesus Christ, which was given for thee, preserve thy body and soul unto everlasting life. Take and eat this in remembrance that Christ died for thee, and feed on him in thy heart by faith, with thanksgiving.

We may not be able to take the physical Eucharist at this time but we can feed on Christ in our hearts by faith with thanksgiving, knowing that God is nourishing us at this time and that God is present whenever and however we gather as we turn our hearts to the living God.

Live Stream

AbbeyChurch: During this time of physical isolation, we will be live streaming from the AbbeyChurch's YouTube Page with live curation & interaction from members of the community at home.
