Welcome to St. Matthias Anglican Church!

We are a Christ-centred, inclusive Anglican Church that is seeking to practice the presence of God through faith and action in our community.

We worship on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations with whom we prayerfully seek deep reconciliation and healing.

Generally, our primary worship happens on Sundays at 10 am in the church, and all are welcome to join us.

As we continue to move out of this time of pandemic, your safety remains a priority.   Masks are strongly recommended during worship (particularly given our love for singing!).  We are passing the peace in a gentle, distanced way, trying to accommodate each other's comfort.  At Communion (all are welcome at the Lord's Table), we receive bread (gluten-free on request) only, rather than sharing the Common Cup at this time.  We are gathering for coffee and tea in the hall after worship -- please join us.  However you join with us, please be gentle with yourselves and others in this time of transition.

We seek to be informal but reverent, traditional but relevant.

We're deeply rooted in our Christian faith and Anglican tradition, but warmly welcome seekers, skeptics and explorers and those of any faith or none to worship with us!
