About the Chapel Art Gallery at St. Matthias

Welcome to the St. Matthias Chapel Art Gallery. Our fifth season of local art begins on September 16, 2022 with the opening of HUMAN/NATURE, featuring the work of Mary Anne Molcan and Marilyn Walker.

The Chapel Gallery humbly acknowledges our uninvited presence on the traditional land of the lək̓ʷəŋən People,  known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. We gather and operate in gratitude.

Our not-for-profit art gallery presents original artwork, from a variety of visual art mediums, that encourages people to reflect and consider a wide range of issues and themes in a safe, respectful and welcoming space. The Gallery is designed to invite the local community, artists and visitors to Victoria to come together to enjoy the exhibitions.

Our fifth season begins this September with the opening of the exhibit HUMAN/NATURE. This exhibit opens on September 16, 2022 and features the work of Vancouver Island artists Mary Anne Molcan and Marilyn Walker. On view at the gallery until Oct 2, 2022.

We treasure the warm reception the gallery has enjoyed throughout the community: we extend our deepest appreciation to participating artists, the local community and visitors to Victoria.

When attending the Chapel Gallery, please join us in respecting the Provincial Health Officer’s directions. Read more about our Covid Safety Plan in the sidebar.

We invite both established and emerging artists to consider showing their work at the Chapel Art Gallery.
