St. Mary's Oak Bay needs help to support our regional meeting

Dear friends,  in the life of the church, we have a number of governance requirements.  One is to prepare for our Diocesan Synod (late November) with Regional Meetings.  The meeting for Greater Victoria is being held at St. Mary's Oak Bay, and they need some help.  Please see Rev. Craig Hiebert's note (copied in below).  If you can help, please contact Craig directly (we think it's more efficient if we eliminate the "middle woman"!).  As always, warm thanks for considering this request.  And ... you get the opportunity to see how things work!

"I  know this is a last minute request, but would St Matthias have a couple of folk who would volunteer to join my own volunteers in keeping the coffee/tea flowing this Saturday, and keeping watch over the buffet table and dishwasher? We’ll have a couple of our own who know the ins and outs, physical setup will be done, but it would be very helpful to have another couple of pairs of hands and legs for bringing out the food from the fridge first thing and setting them out on the buffet tables, and then shuffling/refilling platters as necessary. There will only be 50-60 people max at the meeting."

And, yes, the photo isn't from St. M. directly, but it's a reminder of the joy we take in helping our neighbours.  This picture is from one of the occasions where we served lunch at Our Place.  We're good at helping!!!
