Rob has worked in vocational Christian ministry and social justice activism for the last 20+ years. He's has been a co-founder of two neo-monastic communities; the Emmaus Community and the Jeremiah Community - and he lived for 5 years in Zacchaeus House, a Catholic Worker community house of hospitality in Toronto. Rob served as music director at the University of Toronto campus-based ‘Wine Before Breakfast’, was National Youth Coordinator with PWRDF, and directed the Nidus Festival with the Canadian Council of Churches in 2006. He has worked in campus and parish ministry in the Anglican and United Churches of Canada and was involved for over a decade at Parkdale Neighbourhood Church (a Baptist ‘street church’ in Toronto now called “The Dale”). In addition to co- planting the AbbeyChurch as part of Emmaus Community, Rob is also the Regional Minister for Church Planting with the Pacific Mountain Region (BC/Banff/Yukon) of the United Church; which he helps to foster 14 new communities of faith. He has co-owned an organic bakery, made all kinds of music, loves hiking and walking, brewing beer, cooking and coffee! He is, of course, married to Rev. Meagan and is daddy to Amaya and Zion.
