Looking forward to our first in person worship - July 11, 2021
Greetings beloved parish! You will have heard that restrictions are lifting and we are indeed returning to worship together in person! Our first gathering is coming up this Sunday, July 11 at 10 am and we will be worshipping outdoors in the courtyard - so bring yourself a hat for the sun and a chair if you have one you prefer (we will have chairs set up and available). We are no longer requiring pre-registration but will be making a list of names for contact tracing purposes. Note that we are not required to mask when meeting outdoors, except by personal preference, and this will be our first opportunity to sing together. Matt will be leading us in music, Rob is preaching, and Meagan will preside at the Lord's Table - we do hope you will join us for this time of celebration! As we look forward to gathering in person, we are aware that there are varied comfort levels with how we approach this. We have pulled together this simple survey to help us get a better sense of how the congregation would like to gather. https://forms.gle/MLCp7rBCcQqe9noE6 At this point, our plan is to gather in person every other week and to continue online the opposite weeks. A more detailed schedule is linked here and appears in the newsletter below. We are aware that many of us are travelling to visit family and friends - and to those of you who are, please know that our prayers accompany you all. If there are particular prayer requests or practical ways we can hold for you in this time, as always, drop us a line! Deep peace, Matt, Meagan and Rob |

More restrictions lifted on church gatherings
In a letter dated June 30, to active clergy and parish wardens, Bishop Anna offered direction regarding the continued easing of provincial restrictions on gatherings, including public worship. Of note is that the province no longer has an order restricting the size of worship gatherings either indoors or outdoors (effective July 1). However, they do continue to encourage mask-wearing while indoors and outdoors continues to be the safest place for people to gather. For this reason, the diocese will follow the following worship guidelines until further notice:
If you have questions about Phase 3 of reopening in the diocese please contact your parish incumbent or regional archdeacon. For more infomation visit: http://stmatthiasvictoria.ca/news/more-restrictions-lifted-on-church-gatherings
